about

My first name, Callan, means ‘rock’ and ‘bravery.’ Born and raised along the New River in Blowing Rock, North Carolina, I am a child of the earth—at home among the trees, mountains, water, and sun.

Creativity has been a constant in my life. At 15, I dedicated myself to watercolor painting, focusing on architectural portraits of beautiful or abandoned homes, botanicals, and the natural world. My work often centers around the theme of ‘Home,’ exploring both built and natural environments.

Much of my purpose and mission as an artist (and breathwork guide) has stemmed from my diagnosis of epilepsy at age 12 when I started experiencing spontaneous staring spells. My absence seizures cause embarrassment, anxiety, and have led me down a path of healing. Ultimately, I’m grateful for my seizures because they awakened me to the limitations of pharmaceuticals, and inspire me to care for myself deeply and holistically. Stillness, meditation, and presence have naturally become central to my creative process, lifestyle, and teachings.

At age 22, I graduated with a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts in Interior Design and spent six years in corporate architecture and design before pursuing my dream of freelancing and entrepreneurship. Now, I balance my time between creative projects, teaching art and design, and guiding somatic-based breathwork sessions in the San Francisco Bay Area. I have been guiding breathwork since 2020, and received my trauma-informed certification from Holumina Breathwork in 2023.

I wholeheartedly believe in our intrinsic connection; and that we are all part of a significant time in our planet’s evolution. My mission is to embody the essence of joy and to inspire others toward a more loving, mindful, playful, and creative way of being.

Thank you for being here ♡
